Business Development Manager – Steel Fabrication

Our client, a leading steel fabrication company based in Nottingham, specialises in bespoke fabrications from mild and stainless steel for a wide range of industries. They are seeking a motivated and ambitious Business Development Manager to help grow their client base and drive new business opportunities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a sales professional or technically minded individual who wants to combine their knowledge of steel fabrication with a passion for sales and business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new clients.
  • Identify and win new business opportunities within the bespoke steel fabrication sector.
  • Promote the company’s capabilities in mild and stainless steel fabrication across multiple industries.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to order completion.
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to ensure projects meet client specifications.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, pipelines, and customer interactions.
  • Represent the company professionally at client meetings and industry events.
Key Skills & Experience
  • Proven sales experience within steel fabrication, ideally mild steel, but stainless steel experience will also be considered.
  • Alternatively, candidates with a welder/fabricator background who have some sales experience and want to step into a business development role are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, target driven, and able to work independently.
  • Organised, professional, and able to manage multiple client relationships simultaneously.
