Days of Working: 06.30 to 18.00, Monday to Friday inclusive.

We are looking for a Security Officer in the Courts and Tribunal System to ensure the safety and security of the courts. The position offers professional growth opportunities and funded programs for development.

• Provide exceptional customer service, welcoming and guiding court users.
• Monitor premises and visitors via CCTV and x‑ray machines and carry out other security checks such as hand‑held metal detectors and bag searches on arrival.
• Patrol and secure access to buildings and satellite buildings, maintaining contact with the control room via hand‑held radios.
• Respond to panic alarm buttons in judges’ rooms, courts and offices.
• Respond to any security issues within the complex and record and report details of incidents.

• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS and BS7858 security clearance will be completed for the successful candidate.
• Required SIA licence and relevant security‑related experience.
• Strong people and customer service skills.
• Good diligence and high standard of work.
• Effective communication skills.

Attendance Allowance of £1 per hour can be earned on contracted hours, subject to meeting certain attendance‑related criteria.
