Approved Electrician

Platform Property Care is seeking an Approved Electrician to join our repairs and maintenance team in Matlock. As a mobile electrician you will work across a network of properties, executing remedial work, general maintenance and repairs. You will be committed to excellent customer service, keeping jobs on track and delivering work to specification.

• Basic salary of £39,290 per annum for an Approved Electrician or £36,823 per annum for an Electrician (plus overtime and out‑of‑hours pay).

• Carry out remedial work, general maintenance and repairs across the property portfolio.
• Provide exceptional customer service and keep customers at the centre of all tasks.
• Ensure work is completed to specification and within agreed time frames.
• Work within an out‑of‑hours rota, including Saturdays and Sundays.

• Apprenticeship in Electrical or equivalent NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation, Commissioning and Certification.
• AM2 badge.
• City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent testing and inspection qualification).
• 18th Edition regulation knowledge.

• Sound experience of delivering electrical work in a domestic setting.
• Experience working for social land‑owners, housing associations or council.
• Experience of responding to repair calls.
• Strong customer‑service skills.
• Current valid driving licence.
• DBS check (required for working in customers’ homes).

The role is mobile, covering the Matlock area as well as surrounding regions including Derby, Nottingham, Leicester and the surrounding area. Each day will be confined to one area to minimise travel.
