Position: Adolescence Family Help Worker

Adolescence Family Help Worker (Team
1)

Contract Type: Permanent - 6.5 posts available.

Working Hours: 37 hours per week - 9am - 5pm (Monday to Friday) with requirement to work evenings, weekends, public holidays as per rota.

Worker Type: Hybrid Worker

Salary: Starting salary £32,597 (Level One) rising to £35,412 (Level Four) on first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of probation.

Location: Citywide

About the Role

You will be providing targeted support and direct 1:1 interventions for adolescents and their families to address their unique developmental needs and challenges. You will foster positive relationships, with a focus on family networks, working to prevent escalation of need, the admission of children into the care of the Local Authority, and preventing involvement with the Criminal Justice System.

About You
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Direct experience of completing assessments and analysing findings to formulate action plans, and the ability to produce high quality written records and reports, including with children at risk of becoming involved with or within the Criminal Justice System
  • Direct experience of working in partnership with children, families and communities to shape and enhance service provision
  • Ability to demonstrate a solution-focused approach that gives confidence to children and families
  • Sound knowledge of risk management and safeguarding, experience of applying legislation and policy, including Youth Justice legislation

A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.

The role requires you to participate in the on-call rota.
