Responsibilities
- Being there to provide advice and assistance
- Providing keys or replacements where needed
- Collecting rent payments and dealing with queries or charges relating to rent payments
- Ensuring residents understand their tenant obligations and their rights and responsibilities as outlined in the License Agreement
- Taking payments
- Providing first aid
- Responding to fire alarms
- Being a first point of call when dealing with incidents, including emergencies, and liaising with the police and other agencies to prevent damage or harm to residents and buildings
- Crisis management and incident reporting
- Undertaking facilities/domestic duties to maintain the upkeep of the building as needed
You will also support applications from prospective residents, helping with form filling and signposting other agencies who may be able to help them.
Qualifications & Experience- Experience or interest in working in supported housing with vulnerable adults and young people aged 16–24 years old
- Understanding of the needs of young people (aged 16–25) who may have drug, alcohol and other issues
- Confidence to deal with difficult situations and handle conflict appropriately
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, use initiative, work alone and as part of a team
- Quick and effective response to emergencies
- Skill in managing conflict, aggressive behaviour and diffusing situations effectively
- Excellent communication skills, able to speak to people of all backgrounds and abilities
- Capability to form and maintain relationships with appropriate professional boundaries, acting as a role model for residents
Working 23 hours per week across weekends. Our shift patterns are:
- Friday – 11pm to 11am
- Saturday – 11pm to 11am
We are looking for someone ideally with experience or interested in gaining experience working in supported housing with vulnerable adults and young people aged 16–24 years old. We also offer training and development to start your career in Housing.
