Are you passionate about supporting male survivors of domestic abuse to rebuild their lives?
We're looking for a compassionate and motivated Male Safe Accommodation Support & Outreach Worker to provide specialist support to men experiencing domestic abuse, helping them access safe accommodation, recover from trauma and achieve long-term independence.
This rewarding role combines frontline support, advocacy, partnership working and community engagement, ensuring survivors receive the practical and emotional support they need while improving local pathways into safe accommodation.
The Role
As a Male Safe Accommodation Support & Outreach Worker, you will:
Provide one-to-one support to male survivors of domestic abuse experiencing housing or homelessness challenges.
Complete comprehensive risk assessments, safety plans and personalised support plans.
Support survivors to access safe accommodation, housing services and specialist support.
Provide advocacy throughout the criminal justice process where required.
Build strong partnerships with housing providers, homelessness organisations, police, social care and other specialist agencies.
Promote awareness of domestic abuse affecting men through presentations, training and community engagement.
Consult with local communities to improve referral pathways and service accessibility.
Maintain accurate case records and contribute to monitoring and evaluation reports.
Ensure safeguarding remains central to all aspects of your work.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
Experience supporting vulnerable adults, ideally within domestic abuse, housing, homelessness, safeguarding or a related support service.
Experience carrying out risk assessments, safety planning and managing complex caseloads.
Knowledge of domestic abuse and the barriers faced by male survivors.
Excellent communication, advocacy and relationship-building skills.
Experience working collaboratively with statutory and voluntary sector partners.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
A commitment to equality, inclusion and delivering person-centred, trauma-informed support.
