Personal Advisor; Kids leaving care

Position: Personal Advisor (Kids leaving care)
Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Personal Advisor to join Nottingham City Council on an initial 3-month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 2 days hybrid and 3 days in office, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

* The role involves supporting young people leaving care as they transition into independent adulthood, helping them achieve positive outcomes in areas such as housing, education, employment, health, and wellbeing.

* Hold and manage a caseload of Children in Care and Care Leavers, ensuring statutory responsibilities are met in line with relevant legislation and guidance

* Identify safeguarding concerns and take appropriate action to protect young people, escalating issues in line with safeguarding procedures

Essential Requirements

* Experience supporting children in care, care leavers, or young people transitioning to adulthood.

* Ability to build positive relationships and provide person-centred support.

* Knowledge of safeguarding and multi-agency working.

* Strong communication, record-keeping, and organisational skills.

* No formal qualification required, although relevant social care or youth support experience is essential.
