Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Personal Advisor to join Nottingham City Council on an initial 3-month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 2 days hybrid and 3 days in office, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
The role involves supporting young people leaving care as they transition into independent adulthood, helping them achieve positive outcomes in areas such as housing, education, employment, health, and wellbeing.
Hold and manage a caseload of Children in Care and Care Leavers, ensuring statutory responsibilities are met in line with relevant legislation and guidance
Identify safeguarding concerns and take appropriate action to protect young people, escalating issues in line with safeguarding procedures
Essential Requirements
Experience supporting children in care, care leavers, or young people transitioning to adulthood.
Ability to build positive relationships and provide person-centred support.
Knowledge of safeguarding and multi-agency working.
Strong communication, record-keeping, and organisational skills.
No formal qualification required, although relevant social care or youth support experience is essential.
