This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive and dynamic environment where your expertise can truly impact the future of vulnerable children and young adults.
As a Social Worker in our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality assessments, support, and interventions for children and young people in care and those transitioning to independence. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to determine their needs.
- Developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual circumstances.
- Working collaboratively with other professionals, including health and education services, to ensure holistic support.
- Providing advice and support to foster carers and adoptive families.
- Advocating for the rights and best interests of children and young people.
- To be considered for this role, you must hold a relevant Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Additionally, you should possess the following essential skills and qualifications:
- Demonstrable experience in children's social work, specifically with LAC or leaving care.
- Strong assessment and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks governing child welfare.
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work under pressure.
- In return for your commitment, Nottinghamshire County Council offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including flexible working arrangements, ongoing professional development opportunities, and access to employee assistance programs. Join us in our mission to empower and support the next generation of children and young people in Nottinghamshire.
