Children's SW - LAC​/Leaving Care & Disability Team

As a Social Worker in our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality assessments, support, and interventions for children and young people in care and those transitioning to independence. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to determine their needs.
• Developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual circumstances.
• Working collaboratively with other professionals, including health and education services, to ensure holistic support.
• Providing advice and support to foster carers and adoptive families.
• Advocating for the rights and best interests of children and young people.
• To be considered for this role, you must hold a relevant Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Additionally, you should possess the following essential skills and qualifications:
• Demonstrable experience in children's social work, specifically with LAC or leaving care.
• Strong assessment and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and frameworks governing child welfare.
• Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work under pressure.
