is seeking an experienced and dedicated
Social Worker
to join its Children's Social Care service.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people and supporting families to achieve positive change.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of
three years' post-qualifying experience
in children's social care and experience of working with
children and young people with disabilities and their families
.
You will be responsible for managing a varied caseload, completing high-quality assessments and plans, undertaking statutory visits and reviews, and ensuring that children and young people receive appropriate support and safeguarding.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a caseload of children, young people and families in accordance with statutory requirements and council policies.
- Complete
high-quality assessments, care plans and reviews
within required timescales. - Undertake statutory visits and maintain accurate and up-to-date case records.
- Work effectively with children, young people, parents, carers and wider family networks.
- Support children and young people with disabilities and their families, ensuring their needs, wishes and feelings are central to planning.
- Safeguard children and respond appropriately to identified risks and concerns.
- Work within
Child in Need, Child Protection and Looked After Children
procedures. - Work collaboratively with partner agencies, including education, health, police and other professionals.
- Analyse complex information and make sound, evidence-based professional decisions.
- Promote positive outcomes, stability, safety and wellbeing for children and young people.
- Manage competing priorities and ensure statutory responsibilities are met within required timescales.
- Maintain professional standards in line with Social Work England requirements and relevant legislation.
