We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised, and team-focused Social Work Support Officer to join our busy Family Support and Safeguarding Team
. This rewarding role provides essential administrative and practical support to Social Workers working with children and families. As the first point of contact for families and carers, you will play a vital role in ensuring they receive the help they need.

As a Social Work Support Officer, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Coordinating appointments and services for families and social workers.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Assisting with financial processes, including arranging purchases and processing payments for families.
  • Managing sensitive conversations with professionalism and empathy.
  • Supporting the team in delivering high-quality services to children and families.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent typing and record-keeping abilities.
  • Experience in an administrative role, preferably at least 1 years experience within a social care environment.
  • Knowledge of the Mosaic database is advantageous.
  • English and Maths qualifications to GCSE level grade C or above in English and Maths, or be able to demonstrate evidence of competency at this standard
