Overview
Games Workshop has an exciting opportunity to join us as a Senior Level Cloud Native Engineer on a 12-month contract. You’ll be part of a team delivering critical customer facing eCommerce solutions and applications for Games Workshop, using modern technologies.
Responsibilities- Understand the challenges you are trying to solve and create high quality solutions through collaboration with colleagues to deliver at pace.
- Work with other Developers and Quality Assurance to deliver digital product and platform changes using a strong engineering process, ensuring solutions are reliable, secure and scalable for Games Workshop.
- Be commercially aware and a keen problem solver, efficiently delivering quality solutions to business requirements while being mindful of platform costs and optimising where possible without compromising operations.
- Collaborate within robust testing processes to facilitate rapid delivery of high quality software; contribute to code reviews and feedback to raise the quality of team output.
- Identify technical debt and opportunities for process improvement while delivering value to Games Workshop.
- Work with AWS, AWS CDK and/or infrastructure as code to develop secure and scalable systems architected according to the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
- Utilise techniques such as Test Driven Development and Paired Programming to create secure and performant software.
- Have a positive outlook with adaptability to change, and understand technologies such as Type Script, Graph
QL, AWS Technologies, Git Hub, and Contentful.
- Experience in cloud-native development, preferably on AWS, with infrastructure as code (e.g., AWS CDK).
- Proficiency in Type Script, Graph
QL, Git Hub, and Contentful. - Experience with serverless and cloud-based application stacks.
- Strong collaboration, testing discipline, and ability to deliver with quality and speed.
Location: Hybrid working basis
Contract: 12-month contract
