Principal Java Developer – Nottingham
Location:
Nottingham, East Midlands

Salary: £45-55K per annum + Benefits
DescriptionAn award‑winning software house is recruiting a Principal Java Developer. The role involves designing, analysing, documenting and developing high‑quality Java applications, collaborating with other Java developers on design decisions and mentoring junior staff.
Responsibilities- Lead the design and development of Java/JEE applications.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on technical architecture.
- Write clean, maintainable code using Java SE, JDK 7, JEE, J2EE.
- Mentor junior developers.
- Provide technical guidance and decisions for application requirements.
- 8+ years experience in Java development.
- 3+ years of JEE experience.
- Experience with Wildfly 8, JAX‑RS, CDI (Weld), EJB 3, JPA.
- Java SE, JDK 7, Java EE, J2EE knowledge.
- JEE certification is a plus;
Sun/Oracle Java certification desirable.
