Lead Software Engineer – C# .NET / AWS / Angular - Hybrid – Nottingham – £65,000 - £75,000

An exciting and innovative software house is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join their growing technology team.

This is a true 50/50 role, combining hands‑on engineering with people leadership. You’ll remain close to the codebase, designing and building modern applications, while also leading, mentoring, and developing a mature team of engineers.

You’ll play a key role in shaping technical direction, driving best practices, and ensuring high‑quality, scalable solutions are delivered globally. Alongside dedicated time for out‑and‑out coding, you’ll take ownership of team performance, support career development, and maintain a strong engineering culture.

• Hands‑on development using C# .NET, Angular, AWS and No

• Lead and mentor a team of developers (1‑to‑1s, coaching, performance support, managerial admin)
• Drive engineering best practices, code quality, and delivery standards
• Support Agile delivery and continuous improvement
• Contribute to architectural decisions and system design

• Strong experience with C# ASP.NET / .NET (9/10)
• Type Script & Angular (18+)

• Proven experience in a technical leadership role (or demonstratable experience leading others in a Senior position)
• Experience mentoring developers and conducting 1‑to‑1s
• Strong experience working in Agile environments
• Experience with TDD / DDD principles
• Maths or Physics background

The salary for this role is between £65,000 - £75,000.
