PHP​/Laravel Developer

Forsyth Barnes have partnered with a fast-growing Nottingham-based eCommerce healthcare business built on a simple idea: healthcare should feel personal, accessible, and human. They combine online consultations with discreet home delivery and clinician-led support, helping over 100,000 patients across the UK. As the business scales, they are now strengthening their engineering function to improve how their core platform is built, extended, and evolved.

This is an engineering role focused on building, improving, and extending the core platform. You will work closely with the founders and Technical Lead to take ownership of key areas of the product from Word Press/Woo Commerce development through to custom integrations, APIs, and performance optimisation.

• Build and maintain Word Press / Woo Commerce-based eCommerce systems
• Develop custom plugins, themes, and backend functionality (PHP/Laravel)
• Design and integrate APIs and third-party systems
• Work across the full stack (PHP + JavaScript)
• Improve platform performance, stability, and scalability

• Strong commercial experience with PHP development/Laravel
• Proven experience with Word Press and/or Woo Commerce
• Experience building custom plugins or themes
• Strong understanding of JavaScript (vanilla, React or Vue preferred)
• Experience with APIs and third-party integrations
• Comfortable working in fast-moving, product-focused environments

Salary of £50,000 to £55,000.

This role is a hybrid role with 2-3 days on site requirement in the Nottingham based office.
