Overview
Do you want to join the largest fleet operator in the UK? Royal Mail is recruiting Vehicle Technicians at Nottingham Workshop on a permanent contract, with the potential to earn up to £60k including overtime.
Responsibilities- Perform a full range of inspections, diagnosis, maintenance and repair procedures on a range of vehicles, trailers and mechanical equipment operated by Royal Mail Group.
- Work as part of a team to ensure the job is done effectively and to a high standard.
- Operate on a range of makes and models of vehicles; use specialist tooling and equipment provided for common use by the workshop.
- Fully qualified to at least advanced level (IMI Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle maintenance & repair or equivalent).
- Proven experience working on a wide range of vehicles (e.g., LCV/LGV).
- Full manual driving licence (LGV preferred with trailer experience).
- Working Hours:
39.5 hours per week (rotating shift pattern: weeks 1 & 2 06:00–14:30, week 3 13:30–22:00). 1 in 3 Saturdays with a weekday day off. - Salary: £39,715 per annum plus a shift allowance of £87.58 per week for the 13:30–22:00 shift; weekend attendance allowance applies.

- LCV-HGV training program; in-house and external training to develop skills for the HGV industry, including MOT inspection standards, LOLAR regulations training and vehicle diagnostics training.
