Waste & Cleansing HGV/LGV DriverReady to take the wheel and lead from the front?
We're looking for a skilled and motivated Waste & Cleansing HGV/LGV Driver to join our frontline team. In this role, you'll be more than just a driver‑you'll be a leader, ensuring essential services run smoothly and keeping Nottingham clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone.
What you'll do- Drive and take responsibility for our Waste & Cleansing vehicles (up to HGV)
- Lead and support a crew of up to 4 operatives, mentoring new drivers and helping the team succeed
- Deliver a wide range of services: refuse, recycling, street cleansing, and winter gritting support
- Always ensure safety - for yourself, your crew, and the public
- Carry out daily vehicle checks, basic maintenance, and keep vehicles roadworthy and presentable
- Use in‑cab systems to keep services efficient and responsive
- Work flexibly across the city (and surrounding areas), in all weathers, as part of a dedicated public service team
