Yard Operative

Overview

Kinaxia Okarno are recruiting a Yard Operative to join their team at their site in Ruddington. The role involves administering the incoming and outgoing vehicles within the yard with an emphasis on Health & Safety compliance.

• Shunting trailers from the transport site to Warehousing sites as instructed by the traffic team.
• Organising the vehicle / trailer parking to minimise loading times.
• Organising visiting vehicles for loading/unloading and/or overnight parking.
• Organising vehicles & trailers for our workshop.
• Meeting and greeting visitors to site and directing them to the correct office.
• Ensuring Health & Safety within the yard is compliant and everyone wears hi viz and are aware of our site rules.
• Completing daily vehicle checks as and when required.
• Assisting loading.
• Other general duties as directed by the management team.

• Driving Licence (Full EU Licence)
• Knowledge of transport methods, costs and benefits, routes and geography
• Safety knowledge of goods loading and unloading processes

• Alternate shift pattern (week 1 06:00 – 14:00 / week 2 12:00 – 20:00)
