HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER - AFTERNOON SHIFT

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based at East Midlands Gateway, Derbyshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, consistent Monday to Friday work, and long-term opportunities with the potential to secure a permanent position.

This role will suit applicants looking for work as a HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.

• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 14:00 and 16:00

• 06:00 - 18:00: £16.66 per hour
• 18:00 - 06:00: £20.82 per hour

• Safely operating Category C+E vehicles completing 3-5 trunk runs per day
• Operating curtain-sider trailers and securing loads correctly, including awkward loads
• Making timely deliveries to various destinations
• Communicating effectively with the transport team
• Adhering to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
• Ensuring full compliance with driving laws and working time directives

• Valid UK Category C+E Licence
• Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum six months continuous Class 1 driving experience
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
• No major endorsement codes
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Professional and reliable attitude

• Experience securing and strapping abnormal loads
• Experience manoeuvring within tight delivery depots

• Driving assessment required prior to start
• Three-day paid company induction programme
