Transport Compliance Coordinator

Nottingham

£27,500 - £30,000 + Excellent Benefits

Monday - Friday | 10:00 - 18:00

We're recruiting for a Transport Compliance Coordinator to join a successful environmental and recycling business in Nottingham operating across 11 sites throughout the East Midlands.

Working closely with the Transport Manager in Nottingham, you'll become the go-to person for all aspects of fleet compliance, ensuring vehicles, drivers and transport documentation remain fully compliant whilst helping modernise and improve existing processes.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone in Nottingham who enjoys organisation, compliance and continuous improvement rather than transport planning.

The Role
  • You'll take ownership of the day-to-day transport compliance administration including:
  • Scheduling PMIs, inspections, servicing and MOTs
  • Managing vehicle defect reporting and ensuring repairs are completed
  • Monitoring driver hours, tachograph infringements and compliance documentation
  • Maintaining accurate Operator's Licence records
  • Booking vehicles into workshops and liaising with maintenance providers
  • Processing purchase orders and invoices
  • Carrying out driver debriefs and ensuring defect paperwork is completed correctly
  • Supporting the Transport Manager with compliance audits and reporting
  • Helping transform a paper-based compliance system into an organised electronic system

We're looking for someone with experience in:

  • Transport compliance administration
  • Operator's Licence compliance
  • Driver hours and tachograph legislation
  • PMI scheduling and fleet maintenance administration
  • Vehicle defect management
  • Strong administration and organisational skills
  • Microsoft Excel or similar systems
  • Working closely with drivers, workshops and transport management

Experience with in transport, logistics, waste, recycling or general haulage would all be considered.
