Warehouse Yard Person

If you’re an ambitious warehouse yard man looking to take the next step in your career, we have a great opportunity for you to excel. We are looking for someone practical, organised, and accurate who can work in a busy tool hire & construction supplies warehouse. You will be helping to load & unload vehicles along with other duties. Forklift experience would be an advantage.

No two days will be the same and you will play a key part in keeping our operations running smoothly.

Working in a busy, fast-paced warehouse environment, you'll be responsible for picking and preparing customer orders, loading & unloading vehicles, and keeping our systems up to date. You'll ensure stock is organised, deliveries go out on time, and the warehouse remains a safe and tidy space for the team.

• Picking customer orders efficiently and accurately
• Assisting with loading and unloading vehicles
• Using a forklift vehicle
• Updating our warehouse software and stock records
• Keeping the warehouse organised, clean, and compliant with safety standards
• Supporting stock checks and inventory control
• Collaborating with the tool hire and site supplies teams

• A great attitude and a willingness to get the job done
• Able to ensure vehicles are loaded and unloaded safely
• Forklift experience preferable
• Strong time management and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and a positive approach
• Confidence using computers and warehouse systems like a PDA
• A full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential)
• The ability to work independently, using initiative when needed
• Reliability, honesty, and a sense of responsibility

You will receive all necessary training to ensure you are able to meet the demands of the role. This is an important role in ensuring our customers receive a first class service and as such there is good opportunities for progression.
