As a multi-channel retailer and now in our third decade on the high street, we are seeking Warehouse Operative’s to join our Distribution Centre.

Who are Cotton Traders?

CT for short, we are a clothing retailer and established in 1987 by England rugby captains and legends Fran Cotton and Steve Smith. Supported by a growing online and offline (catalogue) presence, we have 80 stores nationwide in England, Scotland and Wales and employ 800 people across the country. We have an ambitious 5-year plan to grow the business across all touch points and we can only do this with the best people around us.

From humble beginnings but with great belief and dedication from our people, we’ve grown CT from the ground up starting with a single shop and growing into the well-known, nationwide, trusted high street retailer we are today.

What’s in the role and what are we looking for?

Warehouse Operatives are the heartbeat of the logistics industry and we are searching for the best right now! Due to continued growth, we urgently require Warehouse Operators to work alongside our friendly and dedicated shift teams to pick, pack and distribute orders. The most important thing we recruit for at CT is attitude - we have an army of positive, helpful and kind individuals who enjoy what they do, make great first and lasting impressions and have helped us become the great British brand that we are now.

Traditionally, our Warehouse Operatives are responsible for:

  • Accurately picking and packing and checking customer orders
  • Using scanning equipment to identify orders and sort into correct deliver locations
  • Checking orders and loading vehicles for dispatch
  • Accurately receiving and processing goods in, unloading, storage and stock allocation
  • Ensuring that housekeeping is maintained in all areas and the warehouse is kept clean, neat and tidy at all times

Key skills and behaviours that we look for:

  • Able to maintain open communication with all team members, peers and management
  • Have a great attitude, who are keen and willing to learn
  • Able to have the ability to work as part of a team as well as unsupervised
  • To demonstrate good standards of housekeeping along with an awareness of health and safety issues
  • Reliable, hardworking and detail conscious
  • Experience with in a Warehouse (Desirable)
