Operations Associate at The Bay Club Company

The Operations Associate is responsible for contributing to the overall success of the club by providing outstanding member service, maintaining cleanliness, and demonstrating a positive, professional attitude. This role offers opportunities to develop a comprehensive understanding of club operations and hospitality.

Primary Job Functions
  • Customer Service
    • Greet members and guests upon arrival.
    • Verify membership and complete guest registration waivers.
    • Process payments and manage membership sales leads.
    • Book appointments, program, and class reservations.
    • Provide information on club programming and facilities.
    • Deliver exceptional service to enhance member retention.
    • Represent the club professionally in all interactions.
  • Reception Desk Oversight (if applicable)
    • Operate cash register and process payments.
    • Manage cash, balance drawer, and perform opening/closing duties.
    • Answer and transfer phone calls.
  • Café Oversight (if applicable)
    • Create and serve food and beverage items.
    • Promote daily specials and encourage upgrades.
    • Operate cash register and process payments via cash or credit.
    • Handle café opening and closing duties.
    • Maintain a safe, clean work environment per food safety standards.
    • Hold State Food Handler Certification and, if applicable, Responsible Beverage Service certification.
  • Pool Deck Oversight (if applicable)
    • Greet members and guests in the pool area.
    • Act as host for event spaces and coordinate with F&B team.
    • Offer refreshments, seating, and tours of pool deck amenities.
    • Maintain refreshment stations and provide towels as needed.
  • Parking Garage Oversight (if applicable)
    • Warmly greet members with a smile.
    • Verify membership for members and guests.
    • Audit parked vehicles when necessary.
    • Perform opening/closing duties.
  • Cleanliness
    • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and stocking across the club.
    • Perform detail cleaning, restocking, and preventive maintenance.
    • Assist with laundry functions for towels.
  • Communication and Relationships
    • Communicate timely and follow up appropriately.
    • Participate in required events, programs, meetings, and trainings.
  • Other Job Functions
    • Flexibility with work schedule, including day/night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledge of company policies and regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with club software and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Minimum one year of hospitality or related service experience.
  • Food safety certification if applicable.
  • Professional, friendly manner with excellent customer service attitude.
  • Strong conflict resolution and team collaboration skills.
  • Self‑motivated, organized, and detail‑oriented.
  • CPR certification required.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

  • Regularly stand for extended periods; use hands, fingers, and arms.
  • Occasional walking, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have good vision and hearing; moderate noise environment.

Estimated Base Pay Range – $17.27 to $20.00 per hour
