Litigation Attorney

Description

We are looking for a skilled Litigation Attorney to join our legal team in California. This role involves representing clients in complex personal injury and wrongful death cases, requiring a strong background in plaintiff litigation. The ideal candidate will excel in managing cases, preparing legal documents, and navigating various court proceedings while delivering exceptional client advocacy.

Responsibilities:

- Draft and review legal documents, including briefs, complaints, and other case-related materials.

- Conduct and defend depositions to gather evidence and build strong cases.

- Attend court hearings and trials to advocate for clients and present arguments effectively.

- Manage and oversee case progress, ensuring deadlines and procedural requirements are met.

- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients, addressing their concerns and explaining case strategies.

- Collaborate with legal teams and utilize case management software to organize and track case information.

- Translate and interpret legal documents and proceedings in Spanish when necessary to support Spanish-speaking clients.

- Work remotely or in hybrid settings, as required, and travel to court and deposition locations.

- Maintain compliance with legal regulations and ethical standards in all aspects of practice.

Requirements

- Proven experience in civil litigation.

- Proficiency in legal tools and software, such as Adobe Acrobat and case management systems.

- Strong skills in briefing, complaint handling, and claim administration.

- Ability to manage high workloads, exceeding 55 hours per week, while maintaining attention to detail.

- Expertise in conducting depositions and preparing for court proceedings.

- Fluency in Spanish is highly preferred, including translation and interpretation capabilities.

- Familiarity with document management systems and legal research tools.

- Strong analytical and communication skills to effectively represent clients and resolve cases
