The Customer Account Specialist in our Singapore office reports to the Senior Worldwide Customer Service Manager and supports the sales team by managing customer inquiries, ensuring smooth sales operations, and maintaining customer accounts.
Job Scope- Work closely with Regional Sales Managers to solve problems and meet customer requests in a timely manner.
- Support the Sales team by fielding customer requests, coordinating with departments to address concerns and maximize satisfaction.
- Assist the sales team by following up with quotes, ensuring pricing setup, processing orders, and managing customer accounts for a seamless sale process.
- Coordinate with demand planning to obtain updated customer forecasts and follow up with customers on remaining bookings.
- Interfacing with customers, distributors, and third parties for various customer service functions.
- Responsible for the full lifecycle of orders, including handling expedited requests, complaints, escalations, special demands, and follow‑up on all issues.
- Order management: determine sales order status, delivery schedules, verify product pricing, coordinate schedule changes, and maintain records of sales order acknowledgements.
- Collaborate with planning team on escalations, pull in orders and other issues to maximize shipment.
- Coordinate Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) with customers, Quality team, Sales, and logistics.
- Work with finance on credit holds, payment follow‑up, order releases and related issues.
- Coordinate shipment with logistics and handle any shipment‑related issues.
- Follow up with product marketing and quality teams on reported issues.
- Perform additional duties, tasks as delegated, and projects assigned; work with IT on order‑management related issues (EDI, CSV, BVEM, testing).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with Oracle is a plus; proficiency in CRM software and related systems.
- Customer‑service oriented, able to work well in a team, and be a good team player.
