Controller, Accounting, Financial Reporting

Location: Oakland County, MI
Salary Range: $115,000 - $135,000
Employment Type: Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead our accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This role will oversee full-cycle accounting, manage month-end close, and drive improvements in processes and procedures to support organizational growth.

• Oversee full-cycle accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
• Develop and implement budgeting and forecasting strategies
• Establish and improve financial processes and internal controls
• Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with GAAP
• Collaborate with leadership on strategic financial planning
• Lead and mentor accounting team members
• Support audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills
