Accounting Manager

Salary: $140,000 – $160,000 per year

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Reliance One is seeking an Accounting Manager on behalf of one of our clients, a large and diversified organization experiencing sustained organic growth along with an active acquisition strategy. This role is a key addition to a growing accounting leadership team supporting complex, project-based operations across multiple markets.

This position plays a critical role in overseeing enterprise-wide accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring strong U.S. GAAP expertise, particularly within project-based environments, and experience supporting consolidations, integrations, and audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of U.S. GAAP financial statements, including multi-entity and cross-border reporting requirements
• Drive and continuously improve the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness
• Help establish and maintain standardized financial controls, accounting policies, and procedures across operating units
• Perform technical accounting research, interpret authoritative guidance, and implement processes to address reporting gaps
• Support evaluation and optimization of ERP and financial consolidation/reporting tools
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages for executive leadership and external stakeholders
• Assist with periodic management and board-level financial presentations
• Support annual and quarterly consolidated budgeting and forecasting processes across multiple profit centers
• Respond to financial data requests from internal and external stakeholders
• Partner with divisional controllers and accounting teams to support annual financial audits
• Assist with corporate tax filings and related analysis in coordination with third-party advisors and auditors

Education & Credentials

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• CPA required

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years with a large public accounting firm
• Strong experience with percentage-of-completion (POC) accounting
• Public company and/or IPO experience a plus
• Project-based industry experience preferred
• Demonstrated leadership capability and ability to influence across functions
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
