Job Title: Temporary File Clerk — Intellectual Property Department

Job Duration: 2 Months on W2

Job Location: Novi, MI

Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

We’re looking for a temporary, entry-level File Clerk to support our Intellectual Property department.

In this role, you’ll help keep important physical and electronic records organized, accurate, and easy to find. This is a great opportunity for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and willing to ask questions when something needs clarification.

• Organize, label, sort, and maintain IP department files so records are accurate and easy to retrieve.
• File incoming documents, correspondence, and records by following clear department instructions.
• Scan, digitize, and index paper records with care and accuracy.
• Help with file clean-up, document preparation, archiving, and secure storage projects as needed.
• Handle confidential legal, business, and intellectual property information responsibly.
• Pitch in with other duties as assigned.

• No prior IP experience is required. Clerical, administrative, filing, scanning, or records experience is helpful, but we’re happy to consider entry-level candidates.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in keeping information organized and accurate.
• Comfort using basic computer tools, scanners, and file tracking systems.
• Ability to stay focused, follow instructions, and work independently once trained.
• Reliable and punctual, with a positive attitude and the confidence to ask questions when needed.
