Purchasing Analyst

Position Summary

The Zee Zees Analyst acts as the primary point of contact (Liaison) between Zee Zees Purchasing and Sales. This role ensures that sales inquiries regarding product availability, shipment updates, product specifications, allergen information, and certifications (e.g., kosher, organic) are managed efficiently and documented thoroughly. The analyst is responsible for maintaining clear communication, ensuring high‑quality service, and upholding a sense of urgency in response to internal requests.

• Log all inquiries and maintain accurate documentation of requests and resolutions.
• Follow up on outstanding requests to ensure timely communication and resolution.
• Work closely with Purchasing to obtain accurate and up‑to‑date product and delivery information.
• Provide proactive communications to Sales regarding product or logistic updates that may affect customers.
• Support continuous improvement in internal communication processes and response systems.
• Order management:
  Creating, processing, and tracking purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Inventory monitoring:
  Keeping track of stock levels and maintaining appropriate inventory without overstocking or running out of product.
• Record keeping:
  Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and vendor information.
• Quality control:
  Reviewing and escalating any quality issues to internal QA Team as well as vendor partners for investigation and corrective action.
• Reporting:
  Daily, weekly, and monthly reports regarding inventory as well as sales results.
• Report preparation for the Zee Zees Purchasing Lead for projections as well as vendor and product performance.

• Collaborating with internal team, such as sales, logistics, warehouse, and accounts payable.
• Assist with special projects and cross‑functional purchasing initiatives.
• Provide support in audit preparation and compliance.

• Detail orientation – Ensure accuracy with order entry as well as reporting.
• Collaboration – Works effectively with vendor, cross‑functional team and leadership.

• Dependability – Reliable support for both the Zee Zees Buyer as well as the Zee Zees Purchasing Lead.

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
• 1‑3 years of purchasing, supply chain, or inventory planning experience.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of pivot tables and formulas for excel spreadsheet creation.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
