Client Service Representative - Novi, MI

Position Summary

The Client Services Representative is responsible for client contact management through e‑mail, telephone, and resolve client inquiries/complaints.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Client contact management (handling client contact via email/telephone/in‑person)
  • Resolve client inquiries, issues and/or complaints
  • Assist in resolving financial issues/complaints as necessary
  • Track client jobs and report progress
  • Coordinate client needs with laboratory production managers
  • Assist and coordinate with branch offices/other BV units as required
  • Assist in maintaining client relations when required
  • Perform onboarding process for new and existing clients
  • Participate in renewal process by generating quotations and sending to clients for approval
  • Schedule and host regular client meetings including agenda and presentation preparation
  • Attend conferences/shows/events or provide assistance when required
  • Comply with occupational health and safety legislation, BV Group Policies and Procedures, OSHA, NIOSH, and ISO standards.
  • Act in a safe and professional manner and wear appropriate attire including the required personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Other duties or tasks as assigned by manager
Experience, Qualifications & Required Skills
  • BS or technical diploma in Science, preferably in Chemistry
  • Some laboratory experience an asset
  • A minimum of 1 year client service experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written English
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly with MS Office applications
  • Strong interpersonal skills – outgoing, positive, tactful and flexible
  • Strong organizing and problem solving skills to effectively handle time‑critical issues
  • Able to work independently and with others
