Systems Engineer, Embedded Software Engineer
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the software team by inspiring, mentoring and developing managers and individual contributors to achieve their full potential
- Establish embedded software product strategy
- Build and manage a high-performance Agile-based execution of embedded software engineering
- Lead development of Software Architecture for embedded system platforms
- Lead implementation of embedded system Basic Software (BSW) platforms, including technology choice, partner selection and management, integration with application software
- Manage platform software integration, verification, and release activities
- Foster a Dev Ops culture oriented around continuous delivery and improvement
- Ensure quality, safety, and security in BMS embedded software, to meet company, customer, and industry expectations and benchmarks for maturity, safety, regulatory compliance, and security
- Work with all internal ONE teams and external parties in delivery of ONE battery systems
- Engage with customers to lead topics related to BMS control functionality
- Engage with internal stakeholders and customers to define product expectations, set roadmaps and planning
- Perform any additional duties as assigned
Bachelors or better in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience PreferredExperience driving organizational change, process improvements, and cross-functional alignment with company goals by fostering a culture of accountability, inclusivity and continuous improvement
Experience with ISO
26262-based Functional Safety application and implementation in automotive embedded software architecture and implementation
A proven track record of leading automotive embedded software development at major OEMs or Tier1 suppliers, especially in the topics of software architecture, BSW, integration, and ideally experience in delivering such systems in the electrified propulsion space
Proven ability to recruit, develop and retain top talent
In-depth technical experience in implementation of automotive-grade embedded electronic systems, leveraging current-day technologies, methods, and standards
Proven leadership in AUTOSAR-based architectures and associated development methodology, including multi-core implementation
Demonstrated working knowledge of Battery Electric Vehicles, Electrochemistry and advanced chemistry batteries, cell design, and battery pack architectures and design as pertaining to the management functionality
