MARTIN Technologies in Dearborn, MI is expanding — we’re seeking a Dyno Technician who is passionate about automotive performance and precision testing to support engine and vehicle development projects.

Position Summary

As a Dyno Technician
, you will play a key role in setting up, operating, and maintaining engine and chassis dynamo meters
. You’ll work hands‑on with engines and vehicles, collecting and analyzing test data, ensuring accuracy, and supporting engineers in performance and calibration development.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct engine and vehicle performance tests using chassis and engine dynamo meters.
• Collect, record, and analyze data such as torque, horsepower, and emissions.
• Prepare and configure test cells, install engines/vehicles, and set up equipment.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot dynos and related test systems.
• Collaborate with engineers and team members to execute test plans and report results.
• Ensure all testing activities meet MARTIN safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience operating engine or chassis dynamo meters.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to interpret and analyze test data accurately.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools, data systems, and calibration software.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• ASE certification or relevant technical training preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Background in automotive testing or vehicle development.
• Knowledge of emissions, fuel systems, and calibration testing.
• Experience in data acquisition and performance diagnostics.
