Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of neurological case experience for a comprehensive stroke facility assignment.

Responsibilities
  • Work in an interventional radiology department at a comprehensive stroke facility
  • Advanced neuro and vascular interventional procedures are performed
  • Patient population includes those undergoing neurological and vascular interventions
  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM schedule with on-call responsibilities
  • Use of Siemens imaging equipment and Cerner EMR system
  • May float to a nearby sister hospital as needed
  • Responsibilities include explaining procedures, prepping patients, performing complex invasive diagnostic procedures, and assisting physicians during interventions
  • Position involves preparing and setting up sterile equipment, physiological monitors, and imaging devices
  • You will assemble and replenish supplies and ensure all necessary tools are available for each procedure
  • Perform all imaging while applying principles of radiation safety and ALARA techniques
  • Responsible for image review and documentation within PACS and RIS, including quality assurance
  • Expected to participate in patient condition assessment before, during, and after procedures
  • Training or orientation modules must be completed onsite prior to start, usually about 1 week before assignment
  • Internal policies require all time off (RTO) requests to be submitted at time of application; subsequent requests must be discussed post-assignment
  • Overtime may be required based on operational needs
  • Allow at least 2 weeks for background check and drug screening processing through specified vendors
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in interventional radiology with neurological case involvement
  • Active Michigan license required for consideration
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification from AHA is required
  • Must be registered with ARRT and possess advanced registry in Cardiac-Interventional Radiography (CI), Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI), or Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography (CV)
  • Demonstrated sterile technique skills and ability to assist with physician procedures
  • Experience with Siemens imaging systems and Cerner EMR preferred
  • Must maintain required hours of continued medical education
  • COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory for all staff
  • License required if applicable
