Job Summary

Our meticulous and empathetic Patient Access Representative works in our Multi‑Specialty facility to help provide patient care second to none. The role thrives in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment with neurology, pain management, chiropractic, physical therapy, and more. The representative is cross‑trained in all clinical administrative processes, answering phones, checking in/out patients, performing patient reminder calls, and entering information into the EMR.

Maintaining patient confidentiality at all times is required. Top candidates demonstrate superior customer service skills focused on patient/customer satisfaction.

Duties
  • Greets and interacts with patients in a friendly and polite manner
  • Provides solutions for customers; troubleshoots as needed
  • Performs data entry through Electronic Medical Record system
  • Maintains medical records and patient confidentiality
  • Performs insurance verification as needed and directed
  • Answers phone calls in a friendly and helpful manner
  • Registers patients and schedules appointments as directed
  • Multitasks and moves between responsibilities in a fluid manner
  • Adheres to departmental standards and policy
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Eligible for employment by any U.S. employer
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business or related field desired
  • 6 months of relevant customer service experience preferred
  • Previous experience performing insurance verification is a plus
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality and professionalism at all times
  • Detail oriented, conscientious, and committed to precision
  • Relates well to and works effectively with a diverse populace
  • Exceptional phone and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with computers, strong typing and desktop navigation skills
  • Independent problem solving
  • Great data entry skills
  • Excellent verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and documentation standards
  • Friendly, empathetic, and respectful
  • Reliable work results, timeliness, and attendance
  • Works in a fast‑paced, stressful environment while maintaining positive energy
  • Works under pressure and in situations that benefit from patience, tact, stamina and endurance
