Job SummaryWe are seeking a meticulous and empathetic Patient Access Representative to work in our Multi‑Specialty facility. The role requires cross‑training in all clinical administrative processes, including answering phones, checking patients in and out, making patient reminder calls, and entering data into the EMR. You will maintain patient confidentiality at all times and provide superior customer service to ensure a positive experience for every patient.
Duties- Travel Position
- Greet and interact with patients in a friendly and polite manner
- Provide solutions for customers; troubleshoot as needed
- Perform data entry through the Electronic Medical Record system
- Maintain medical records and patient confidentiality
- Perform insurance verification as needed and directed
- Answer phone calls in a friendly and helpful manner
- Register patients and schedule appointments as directed
- Ability to multitask and move between responsibilities in a fluid manner
- Adhere to departmental standards and Policy Stat policies
- Other duties as assigned
- Eligibility for employment for any U.S. employer
- High school diploma or GED required;
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field desired - 6 months of relevant customer service experience preferred
- Previous experience performing insurance verification is a plus
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism at all times
- Detail‑oriented, conscientious, and committed to precision in work results
- Ability to relate to and work effectively with a diverse populace
- Exceptional telephone and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with computers, strong typing and desktop navigation skills
- Ability to independently problem‑solve
- Great data entry skills
- Demonstrated verbal and written English communication skills for safe and effective patient care
- Friendly, empathetic, and respectful demeanor
- Reliable work results, punctuality, and attendance
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, stressful environment while maintaining positive energy
