Job Details:

• 13-week contract assignment

• Work in ER, inpatient, and outpatient units

• Level 2 trauma center experience

• Hospital experience required

• 2 years of CT experience required

• Must have experience with GE and Phillips equipment

• Perform computerized tomographic radiological procedures on patients

• May perform general diagnostic radiology examinations

• Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for examinations

• Review clinical data on requisitions and perform appropriate examinations

• Analyze anatomical structure of patients and set up equipment to perform CT scans

• Manually control equipment to obtain proper diagnostic information

• Administer intravenous contrast media using power injectors and monitor patients for reactions

• Prepare and set up sterile equipment, monitors, and supplies for procedures

• Assist radiologists in performing complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies

• Follow radiation protection principles including patient shielding and ALARA techniques

• Complete PACS image delivery and resolve image exceptions

• Complete study indexing in Radiology Information System

• Required certifications: ARRT (CT) and BLS

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Must maintain required hours of continued medical education

• Interview required with manager calling candidates directly
