Overview

The Procurement Systems and Processes Specialist is responsible for the effective use, optimization, and support of Procurement IT systems that underpin procurement operations. This role serves as the main point of contact between the Procurement department and IT teams, ensuring that procurement processes are fully supported by technology and that system users are trained to maximize efficiency. The Specialist helps implement system improvements, troubleshoot issues, and act as a liaison during system updates or changes.

you’ll do

Become part of an iconic brand set to revolutionize the electric pickup truck and rugged SUV marketplace.

  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for procurement IT systems, including ERP (e.g., SAP), eProcurement tools, and other digital platforms used in procurement processes.
  • System Rollout, Maintenance & Optimization: lead rollout and launch of Scout’s Procurement systems, establish rollout schedule and resources, and ensure smooth functioning by collaborating with IT to resolve technical issues.
  • Suggest and implement system improvements or new features to enhance procurement efficiency; monitor system performance and coordinate upgrades.
Responsibilities (continued)
  • User Support & Training: provide first-level support, develop and deliver training programs and documentation, and ensure end-users follow best practices.
  • Data Management & Reporting: ensure data accuracy in procurement systems, generate and analyze reports, and refine reporting tools and metrics.
  • Process Improvement: identify opportunities to improve procurement workflows and lead or participate in projects to implement new tools or functionalities.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: bridge procurement, IT, and other departments to ensure requirements are met and issues are communicated effectively; participate in meetings with IT and external vendors.
Location & Travel Expectations
  • Based at Scout Motors in Novi, Michigan.
  • In-person attendance at offices and events is required; occasional travel to participate in events for the company.
What you’ll bring

  • 5+ years in Project Management, IT Project Management, or similar function
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes and systems (ERP, eProcurement platforms)
  • Prior experience in a procurement or IT support role
  • Strong problem-solving and end-user training skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders
  • Analytical mindset with experience in procurement reporting
