Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and assemble components for EV battery packs, modules, and related automotive systems using cutting, welding, machining, and forming techniques
  • Operate shop equipment such as mills, lathes, saws, grinders, press brakes, and CNC machines
  • Support prototype builds, pilot production runs, and scaling into mass production
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
  • Assist engineers in developing custom fixtures, jigs, and tooling for battery assembly and testing
  • Perform quality checks to ensure fabricated parts meet dimensional, material, and safety requirements
  • Maintain accurate documentation of fabrication processes and work orders
  • Troubleshoot and repair fabrication issues, collaborating with engineering and maintenance teams
  • Follow strict EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) and cleanroom/ESD protocols to maintain a safe and compliant work environment
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency, safety, and product quality
Key Skills
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and CAD models
  • Familiarity with materials used in battery and automotive applications (aluminum, stainless steel, plastics, composites)
  • Knowledge of safety and EHS protocols, including handling of high-voltage systems a plus
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
Education

High School or better.

Experience

Demonstrated proficiency in use of fabrication equipment, welding (TIG/MIG), and precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)

Preferred

Preferred experience with battery fabrication, prototype builds, and production scaling

Preferred knowledge of safety and EHS protocols, including handling of high-voltage systems
