Sales Engineer – Automotive Parts Manufacturer
Location:
Novi, MI (area). Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 per year.
$80,000.00/yr - $/yr
An international automotive component manufacturer in the Novi, MI area is looking for a Sales Engineer responsible for overseeing the business relationship with customers.
Responsibilities- Clarify needs of the customer and relay those needs into product solutions
- Maintain understanding of customers' product usage for accurate forecasting
- Represent company with customers and other industry events
- Relay customer needs to appropriate departments for next generation design directions, new products under development and pricing changes
- Provide quotations for company's products to customers for pricing and tooling
- Negotiate pricing and oversee technical requirements with customers
- Assist in planning and forecasting as it relates to products and customers
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent education and experience
- Prefer at least 4 years of automotive technical sales or program management
- Willingness to travel when necessary
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
