Lead Fire Sprinkler Technician – responsible for servicing, inspecting and repairing sprinkler systems for established customers on a scheduled basis and reporting on‑call rotations.
Job Duties- Conduct service calls, performing onsite emergency troubleshooting and repairs, identifying code and non‑conformance issues.
- Interpret and apply NFPA 25 codes during testing and inspections.
- Possess or be an applicant for NICET certification in Inspection and Testing of Water‑Based Systems.
- (Preferred) Perform fire pump flow tests.
- Prepare accurate, detailed and timely service tickets and reports.
- Communicate with customers to explain the work being done and any repairs that are necessary.
- A current valid driver’s license with three or fewer points.
- Three years of licensed driving experience.
- Two or more years of inspecting and repairing fire sprinkler systems.
- Knowledge and understanding of NFPA codes.
- Comfortable working on ladders 6–12 ft and on lifts.
- Able to lift up to 70 lb, work overhead, and in unusual or small spaces such as attics and crawl spaces.
- Well organized and able to keep track of service tickets and process required documents for each service performed.
- Hourly pay, negotiable based on experience.
- All hours between 6 pm and 5 am are paid at half rate for every day of the week.
- Paid a minimum of 4 hours at half rate for emergency service calls.
- Paid a minimum of 4 hours at double time for emergency services on recognized holidays, in addition to 8 hours of holiday pay at regular rate.
