Our advanced systems move everything from car bodies at auto plants to luggage at airports to packaged goods are known as experts in engineering, manufacturing, and servicing innovative automated materials handling systems including conveyors, automatic guided vehicles, automated storage & retrieval systems, and integrated controls.
The company is currently seeking an experienced Release Engineer Level 2.
ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary/ Primary Purpose
Reports to the Software Engineering Manager and works as a member of a small (approx 2 to 4 person) project team. Works, as directed, to produce software builds and releases for AGV system software products and Automatic Baggage Handling Systems software products. Authors and reviews operational specifications, formulates, and analyzes software requirements. The Release Engineer Level 2 applies principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and maintaining security to software development and deployment.
Major Areas of Responsibility
- Responsible for software builds and releases of all Daifuku Software products for initial releases and for project driven releases.
- Responsible for the design development and execution of builds, scripts, installation procedures, and systems including source control and issue tracking.
- Works closely with the project team to ensure functionality is complete and meets project requirements.
- Assist in the production and review the related product/project documentation for both internal and external use.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed to meet product/project goals.
Broad Knowledge as Follows (Basic/Preferred)
- 2+ years of extensive C, C++,C# and .NET development.
- 2+ years of developing with MS SQL Server.
- Superior knowledge of Visual Studio, and Windows Server 2019 and later with IIS
- 2+ yrs experience with Release Engineering, Software Deployment
- Experience with Software Release Life Cycle
- Experience with applying Bug Tracking software
- Experience with Source Code Management Software
- Working experience with Git, Git Lab.
- Software Deployment experience
- Industrial automation (PLC or OPC) experience is a plus.
- Browser development (JQuery, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5) is a plus.

- Good working knowledge of current Microsoft Office products
- Ability to travel up to 10%, annually.

Education & Experience
- BS-CS/CE or Equivalent is required.
