Tyre Technician

HiQ Tyres & Autocare has an exciting new opportunity for a Tyre Technician to join our team in Stockingford. The role is offered on a full-time permanent basis, Monday – Saturday 8:30am – 5:30pm, salary depending on experience.

What you will be doing as a Tyre Technician:

• Correctly removing and replacing the wheels of vehicles.
• Tightening wheel nuts to the correct torque setting on re-fitting the wheels to the vehicle.
• Inflate tyres to the car manufacturers recommended tyre pressure.
• Carrying out repairs to the correct British Safety Standards (BS AU159).
• Working alongside the vehicle technicians within the workshop.
• Assisting with tyre inspection reporting on an EVHC report.
• Correctly measuring a tyre tread depth and report the correct tread depth readings.
• Always maintain health and safety standards, working within company guidelines and safe working practices.
• Complete job cards, maintenance records, and associated paperwork to a high standard
• To undertake any additional duties (within reason) for the efficient running of the Store.
• To carry out administration duties as required within the store.
• Assist in carrying out regular stock checks in accordance with Company Policy.

What you will need:

• Experience with in a in a fast-fit car center or a recognised vehicle franchise dealership.
• The practical knowledge of fitting tyres.
• Understanding of modern tyre technology and the confidence to handle a range of vehicles.
• Must have a full driver’s licence with no more than 9 points
