Long Term Futures are working closely with a welcoming, two-form entry primary school in Nuneaton who are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil with ASD and ADHD. The pupil benefits from clear routines, calm communication and consistent adult support to stay focused, regulate emotions and access learning successfully.
This is a long-term role with real stability and the chance to move into a permanent position for the right candidate.

The Role

Provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day, adapting strategies to meet individual needs
Support emotional regulation, attention, and positive behaviour using agreed behaviour plans
Deliver targeted interventions and scaffold learning to support progress across the KS2 curriculum
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement EHCP targets
Track progress, celebrate achievements, and contribute to review meetings
Build a strong, trusting relationship with the pupil to promote confidence and independence
What We're Looking For

Level 2 or Level 3 Supporting Teaching & Learning qualification (or equivalent experience)
Proven experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD and behavioural needs
Confident using de-escalation techniques and consistent behaviour strategies
Strong understanding of KS2 expectations and SEN-inclusive classroom practice
Calm, patient, and reliable approach with excellent communication skills
A team-player mindset when working with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff
