Qualified Class Teacher (Year
3). Part-time, three days per week (0.6
FTE). Salary: £32,916pa - £45,352pa (MPS) or £47,472pa - £51,048pa (UPS) dependent on experience.
The Governors of Middlemarch School are seeking to appoint an outstanding practitioner to join our school during the summer term of 2026 (with a transition period beforehand if possible). With recent experience of teaching pupils in Key Stage 1 or 2, you will need to be confident in supporting our youngest pupils through their first year of junior school, ensuring that all of our pupils make good progress.
Your excellent behaviour management skills will complement your ability to nurture and encourage pupils, inspiring them to do well in the classroom and to participate in enrichment activities offered throughout the school.

An enthusiastic, creative and forward-thinking teacher, you will be able to lead and motivate others. Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility and resilience are essential, alongside an ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff. Ideally you will be ready to lead a subject area and contribute to other projects across the school.
Your organised approach to planning will facilitate the seamless job sharing of this role as you will share class teaching duties with our deputy headteacher.
