SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Nuneaton, Warwickshire
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Supply Basis)
Start Date: 13th April 2026
Together in Learning are seeking an experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our client schools team on a supply basis. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a range of special educational needs and be willing to provide personal care when required. This role is crucial in supporting students with special educational needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum and thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities- Provide one‑to‑one or small group support to students with a range of special educational needs.
- Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Manage challenging behaviours with patience and understanding.
- Support students with personal care needs, as required.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and other support staff to deliver tailored educational support.
- Encourage a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant, particularly with mild to profound educational needs.
- Experience with personal care is highly desirable.
- A compassionate, patient and adaptable approach.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are advantageous but not essential.
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one) is required.
