Teaching Assistant Level 1

All Saints CE Primary School, Nuneaton – a caring and inclusive single‑form entry primary school.

Fixed‑term contract until August 2027, initially 12 months.

Working hours:

31.25 hours per week, term time only (Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm with a 45‑minute lunch break), plus 5 days of training. Salary: £18,214 per annum.

• Support children with Educational Health Care Plans (ECHPs) during timetabled curriculum teaching time.
• Assist the class teacher and SENCO in planning and delivering activities and strategies that support each child’s learning and development.
• Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating the school’s values and helping pupils build firm foundations.
• Attend meetings, training and additional sessions as required, with notice given for extra hours.

• Qualifications in Mathematics and English Language (GCSE, GCE or equivalent).
• Proof of right to work in the UK.
• Experience working with children with additional needs, particularly those with ECHPs.
• Reliable, dedicated, and able to provide a satisfactory enhanced DBS check and medical clearance under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

The role is subject to medical clearance and an enhanced DBS check. The school will support the TA with training and development on activities and strategies to support children with ECHPs.
