About the role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, full-time History Teacher for a long‑term placement at a supportive secondary school in Nuneaton
, starting September 2026
. This role is expected to last until the end of the academic year.
The school prides itself on fostering critical thinking and curiosity. Staff enjoy a friendly, team‑oriented culture, and students benefit from a broad curriculum enriched with trips, workshops, and cross‑curricular projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Teach History KS3–KS4, including full classroom responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons
- Support exam preparation
- Encourage debate and analysis
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Proven experience teaching History to GCSE level
- Strong classroom management and behaviour support strategies
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Two references we are able to apply for, desirably from an educational setting
