Position: Technical Architect (Ecommerce)

We are looking for a Technical Architect to shape enterprise e-commerce search and product discovery for a UK retail programme. You'll lead the architecture of scalable search platforms, helping improve relevance, customer experience and commerce performance. The project covers AI-powered search, Open Search/Elasticsearch, semantic and vector search, alongside cloud-native and event-driven architectures.

You'll work with product, engineering and business teams, leading technical design and architecture governance. Key Skills Open Search / Elasticsearch Search relevance, ranking and indexing Semantic search, vector search and embeddings Distributed search architecture and performance optimisation Microservices and event-driven architecture AWS / Azure cloud platforms APIs, Kubernetes and Terraform Based in London, this is a hybrid role requiring 1 day per week onsite, with a 12-month contract.
