Job Description & How to Apply Below

Position: Business Systems Analyst (ERP & Integrations)

Department: IT

Location: Nuneaton (Hybrid – 3 days/week in office)

Reports to: Head of IT

At PROPER SNACKS, we're here to improve snacking. Home to PROPER and Eat Real, we create category-defining brands that challenge convention and bring seriously tasty snacks to more people, more often. We're builders, thinkers, creators and makers. We move fast, back ourselves and aren't afraid to do things differently. We are now looking for a Business Systems Analyst to join our IT team in Nuneaton.

Why this role matters

Behind every bag of PROPER and Eat Real is a set of systems that keeps orders flowing, stock moving and numbers adding up. As our Business Systems Analyst, you'll own our ERP systems, integrations and related processes, making sure they work smoothly today and better tomorrow.

You’ll balance hands‑on, day‑to‑day support for colleagues with driving real improvements to how our systems, data and processes work. Working closely with finance, operations and supply chain, you'll be the person who gets to the root of problems, connects the dots between teams and helps the whole business run more simply. This is a role for someone who's a builder at heart: curious, methodical and restless in their desire to find a better way.

What you'll be doing
  • Be our go‑to for ERP support. Own and support SAP Business One and Access Supply Chain, helping colleagues resolve day‑to‑day issues and get the most from both systems.
  • Find a better way. Understand where processes are causing frustration, spot opportunities to simplify how things work and turn user feedback into practical system improvements.
  • Get to the root of data problems. Investigate issues, understand where they originate and fix the underlying cause rather than relying on repeat fixes.
  • Keep our systems connected. Run and maintain integrations and data flows between our applications and third‑party partners, monitoring performance, resolving failures and improving reliability.
  • Make data useful. Write and maintain SQL queries, SSIS packages and Power BI reports, using DAX where needed to support reporting and business requirements.
  • Turn business needs into clear changes. Work with non-technical colleagues to understand what they need, define the problem and agree a practical solution.
  • Help deliver changes and upgrades. Work with suppliers, partners and internal teams to scope requirements, test changes and support a smooth rollout.
  • Keep things well run. Follow good change control, testing and access practices for our live systems, and support month‑end, year‑end and audits from a systems point of view.
About you

We're much more interested in potential and impact than a perfect CV. You don't need to arrive knowing every system or tool we use. We're looking for a grounding in business application support, a logical approach to solving problems and the curiosity to understand how systems, data and processes fit together.

We would love to see

  • Relevant application support experience: you have supported business applications, ideally an ERP System in manufacturing, distribution or a similar operational environment
  • A curious and practical mindset: You enjoy investigating problems, asking questions and following an issue through to its root cause.
  • An interest in how a business works. You want to understand how colleagues use systems and how data moves between teams, applications and external partners.
  • Clear communication. You’re comfortable talking to non-technical colleagues, explaining issues in straightforward language and translating their needs into workable solutions.
  • Ownership and follow-through. You take responsibility for issues and improvements, working with colleagues and suppliers to move things…
