DRAX Executive have been retained by a $1bn revenue Private Equity Backed Swiss Industrials Group to secure a Finance Manager (Number One in Finance) for their newly launched UK Division.
The UK business is run rating at circa £7m in revenues post two strategic acquisitions and have aggressive plans to scale the business, utilising the investment, resources, and support from the group.
You will be a ‘hands on’ finance professional reporting to the UK Managing Director and will visible leader within their Nuneaton HQ with an expectation of circa 2 days per week in the office.
THE ROLE:The Finance Manager will be a key strategic partner to the UK Managing Director and will be responsible for bringing key accounting processes in house from their external accountants.
Being a newly created £7m revenue division, this will initially be a sole / ‘hand on’ position, with remit to hire and grow out a team as the business grows, evolving into a Finance Director level position.
Key responsibilities- Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will act as a trusted business partner—providing commercial insight, challenging assumptions, and supporting strategic decision-making.
- Working in close collaboration with the UK Operations team and group finance function in Switzerland, reporting monthly figures.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting, including month-end and year-end processes.
- Cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and the development of meaningful management information.
- Implementing and developing key accounting processes and controls.
- Ensure statutory requirements are met.
- Drive system utilisation and efficiency (Sage)
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA), AAT or Qualified by Experience
- Experience with in a SME environment (or a ‘hands on’ position within a larger organisation where you have led the development internal processes).
- Experience preparing management accounts and presenting financial information to senior stakeholders.
- Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management experience.
- Live within a commutable distance to Nuneaton and able to spend a minimum of 2 day per weeks in the office.
